Noelle Brown

Noelle has been an actor since 1987 and has worked extensively in theatre, film, televsion and radio. She began directing and writing for theatre in 2002. Her play POSTSCRIPT, co-written with Michèle Forbes, and in which Noelle performs, was part of the Dublin Fringe Festival 2013 and was nominated for the Fishamble New Writing Award and the Bewleys Little Gem Award. POSTSCRIPT, toured  Ireland for six weeks in 2014 and in 2015 played at the Centre Culturel Irlandais Paris. POSTSCRIPT will play at the Abbey Theatre (Peacock) in June 2017.

Foxy, her second play, premiered at Project Arts Centre in October 2015. 

Noelle has recently written and co-created a movement documentary for theatre with Oonagh Murphy that focuses on the discrepancies between the mental and physical effects of ageing, entitled Creaking. It was presented as a staged reading at the Riverbank Arts Centre Newbridge in January 2017 and formed part of the Bealtaine Festival in May 2017 travelling to seven venues around Ireland. Noelle was part of the 24 Hour plays at the Abbey Theatre in January and is under commission from Barnstorm Theatre Company to write a play for young people that focuses on inter country adoption.
