Mónica Muñoz Marín
Performer
Born in Barcelona, Mónica studied dance at the Folkwang Hochschule in Germany. She has worked in Germany, Switzerland, Portugal and Greece with companies and choreographers including Cie Toula Limnaios, Rodolpho Leoni Dance, Tanztheater Heidelberg-Freiburg, National Theatre of Northern Greece, Cie. Drift, Rui Horta and Irina Pauls. In Ireland she has performed with CoisCéim in Hanging on by a Thread, Out of Harm’s Way and Dodgems. In 2002 she was profiled in the critic’s survey of the magazine Ballet International/Tanz Aktuell as “upcoming female dancer”. Most recently she finished an MA in Contemporary Dance Pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt. Alongside her choreographic and performance career, Monica teaches professional training, adult courses and dance within community contexts.
