Clarinet and bass clarinet player Deirdre O’Leary lives in the Cloughjordan ecovillage where she and her family have built a cob and strawbale house.
She plays funky iconoclastic modern music with the Crash Ensemble and elegant 19th century classical chamber music with Cassiopeia Wind Quintet. Over the past decade Deirdre has toured Australia, Europe & US, played Carnegie Hall, Edinburgh Festival and Covent Garden, and recorded an acclaimed album with Dawn Upshaw and Iarla Ó Lionáird.
