PLAYING WITH FIGURES introduces primary school children to the arts and sciences in a practical, imaginative, fun, and physical manner.
PLAYING WITH FIGURES has been developed in response to demand from teachers and educators for dance activities that combine the arts and sciences. This engaging project brings to life the maths curriculum through creative dance and kinaesthetic play, offering opportunity for children to explore and discover concepts such as pattern and shape, and measurement of time and space. Taking an integrated approach to learning, PLAYING WITH FIGURES is designed to aid child-centred learning, and to support children’s cognitive, physical and social development. Each project PLAYING WITH FIGURES is tailor-made according to the particular age group and setting.
