In August 2021, CoisCéim moved into a former Victorian Postal Sorting Office – transforming the landmark building into a hub for creative experimentation with the generous support of the Arts Council of Ireland and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media
A SPACE TO DANCE, A PLACE TO DREAM – 42 FAIRVIEW STRAND IS DISTINCTIVE. IT IS MEMORABLE. IT IS A DESTINATION TO INSPIRE.
For Open House Dublin, visitors are invited to explore the ground floor of the building and catch a glimpse of the variety of work created there:
-At 1.00pm and 3.00pm see an informal dance sharing by participants of THE CHOREOGRAPHY PROJECT 20 led by Justine Doswell.
-From 4.00-5.30pm watch looped screenings of Ros Kavanagh’s short film A REACTION TO PLACE – a documentary about architect Jenny O’Leary’s exposition of the same name which was a highlight of Open House Dublin in 2021.

ADMISSION | Free, all are welcome, no booking required. Capacity for The Choreography Project is limited and first-come, first-served.
ACCESSIBILITY | The open house is entirely on the ground floor – there is one small step up to access the dance studio. If you are wearing hard soled shoes or high heels you may be asked to remove your footwear to access certain areas.
