Collaboration is at the heart of our 2016 programme as we announce two major projects with three of Ireland’s most original performance makers and two of the nations leading festivals.  First up and on sale from today is the Eileen Gray inspired INVITATION TO A JOURNEY, where CoisCéim, contemporary music group Crash Ensemble and Olivier award winning Fishamble come together with Galway International Arts Festival to create an evocative illustration of the enigmatic designer and her work.

Later this year, CoisCéim and ANU will team up to cross-pollinate dance, theatre and visual art in THESE ROOMS, an immersive performance piece that will premiere as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival.  We are delighted to announce that the 14-18NOW from the UK has come on board as a co-commissioner of this work.  THESE ROOMS is part of ART:2016, The Arts Council of Ireland’s programme for Ireland2016.

We’ll round up our performance year with the UK premiere of THE WOLF AND PETER.  Supported by Culture Ireland, David Bolger’s highly acclaimed work for children and their families is this year’s special winter show at Dance City in Newcastle and will also be able  to be seen at Mermaid Arts Centre in a Bray this December.

Find out more on these and Broadreach including WHERE ARE WE NOW? and SPRING INTO SUMMER on our new look website www.coisceim.com.

We look forward to bringing you on a journey to discover dance without borders in 2016.
