Student Internships

An Internship at CoisCéim is an opportunity for a student to gain practice and experience in a production or office setting under the guidance of CoisCéim staff. Specific projects and tasks vary according to the interests and course requirements of the Intern – we endeavour to help people to develop valuable skills, discover where their strengths and interests lie and gain valuable industry experience. The internship programme is currently suspended and will recommence when conditions allow.  For more information contact us at info@coisceim.com or 01 878 0558.

Feedback

“CoisCeim is one of the few professional touring companies that has a community dance programme. I respect the approach and creativity of the company and have gained a fantastic first hand learning experience.”

“I don’t I think could pinpoint one thing as my favourite part of the internship as it was all such a good experience. The people in CoisCéim are so nice and this made me feel right at home. I got to see from the very start of the sound design till the last day of the show so I really got an insight into the whole production and I feel honoured that David, Ivan and Sarah could give me that opportunity.”

“As a Production Intern for CoisCéim Dance Theatre, I learned a lot about a work in progress, the scheduling of a production that has many get-ins & outs, and I grew a lot as part of a production team. I believe I really benefited from my internship both personally and professionally.”

– Third Level Student

“I learned many skills working as an administrative intern, from getting costumes quickly, to improving my IT and photography skills, CoisCéim gave me the opportunity to apply these skills in a professional setting. CoisCéim has a very friendly and professional atmosphere and for anyone interested in a career the arts, it is fascinating to see how a professional company works.”

“My time as a dance intern with CoisCéim Dance Theatre was exciting and challenging. I immediately walked into a warm and welcoming atmosphere which made me feel very comfortable. David’s work with ANU was inspiring and captivating, I would encourage anyone who can get to see the performance of these rooms to do so, it really will be something special. As a dance intern I felt fully involved in the process from start to finish and loved working with professional artists from multiple disciplines. I gained a lot of valuable skills and industry experience.”
