Love Song and Dance
A dance class and performance project in the heart of Dublin.
Drop-in dance classes for people aged 50+ ran for eight weeks in five centres across Dublin. After much joyful dancing and heartfelt practice, participants came together in a celebratory performance in the beautiful setting of the Great Hall at the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
LOVE SONG & DANCE was inspired by some of the most powerful love songs of all time. Presented by an ensemble cast of 61 people, the dance performance is a dynamic interpretation of love; from the flirtatious Lovin’ Spree and the rockin’ You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Hound Dog to the soulful romance of Take My Lips.
LOVE SONG AND DANCE is one for the heart.
