An invitation from Dublin Dance Festival saw two BROADREACH groups take part in filming THE NELKEN-LINE. The first group from our Wednesday class for people aged 50+, filmed their sequence in the light-filled gym at the Carmelite Centre, Dublin where our weekly dance class takes place. The second group, involving our Creative Steps youth group  and women from the wider dance community, filmed on a chilly spring day in the immense space of Thomas Clark Square, Collins Barracks, National Museum of Ireland!

The Nelken-Line follows on from Pina Bausch’s short processional work NELKEN and talks about the alternation of the seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winters with just a few distinct gestures. The Pina Bausch Foundation has invited groups to participate worldwide – and have their films uploaded to the Pina Bausch Foundation Vimeo channel.
