You Said –

Monica Munoz Marin (performer)

I danced, swung in a swing, laughed, shouted, sang, signed sign language, drove a bumper car, did cartwheels on a bed… and ALWAYS felt part of something very special.

Miriam Kehoe (Administrator)

One of my best memories is the excitement when we found Sackville place and it became CoisCéim’s very own studio. A wonderful hive of activity.
Olwen Dawe (Board Member)

..one of my most memorable moments was These Rooms at LIFT in London. Not least witnessing the audience reactions… spine-tingling – I’ll never forget it.
Nick Heizen (Angel & Collaborator)

CoisCéim has embodied fresh and imaginative dance theatre, while both pushing the edges of the expected and anchoring in the everyday.
Daniel Riordan (Actor)

The most vivid memory of a CoisCéim show is “Swept” with David Bolger and Diane O’Keefe up and over the walls and ceilings of the Peacock Bar.
Amelia Stein (Photographer)

An image with a cello ?
Or books on the ground ?
Bodies moving ?
David is Inspirational.
Garry Hynes (Director & Board Member)

Happy Birthday CoisCéim and David Bolger. Your work has immeasurably enriched us all (via Twitter)
Damien Gildea (Performer)

Working with CoisCéim brought me to an entirely new level of physical expression. Each show is a gift to experience, a storytelling masterclass.
Clare McCormack (Board Member)

My 1st CoisCéim experience was the hauntingly beautiful co-pro, These Rooms, in London. You guys sucker punched me out of a rainy night in Shoreditch and onto the streets of Dublin

Úna McCarthy, OMAC, Belfast, 1995 (who gave us our first gig, thank you!)

Elaine Gaston, my colleague, and I met David. I suppose by then we had developed a reputation for programming dance and physical theatre in our tiny venue with a big heart. CoisCéim came and stole our heart away.

Diane O’Keefe’s favourite moment (Performer)

Creating Ballads in Shawbrook, I watched in awe how David Bolger transformed Human stories of heartache and loss into a moving, breathing, visceral piece of theatre.

Laurie Uprichard’s favourite show (Programmer)

David and Madge — Swimming with My Mother! A brilliant evocation of the filial relationship wrapped in the perfect metaphor of water. ‍

Nanette Kincaid (Performer)

Moving to Dublin, CoisCéim became my family & we had wonderful, crazy adventures as Mermaids. From hysterical belly laughs to grumping at cast members that stole my Ginger Nut biscuits in Beijing!!!

Jon Pearson (Company Manager)

Working with CoisCéim is such a joy that the prospect of spending half the summer in an underground crypt in London sounded appealing!

Emma O’Kane (Performer and collaborator, via Twitter)

Happy birthday CoisCéim!! I joined you in 2001, we have danced many dances together and long may it continue.
Lucy Carter (Lighting Designer)

Always a pleasure and inspiring to work with David on his new creations, and a treat to spend time in Dublin. I miss those moments… I think Faun might have been my favourite.
Lisa McLoughlin (Performer, via Twitter)

Had such amazing times performing with CoisCéim and all the legendary people involved. From Aus to the US and my favourite ever performance up in An Grianán when all my Donegal family came to see me play Clara in the Nutcracker #rockstarmoment!

Jim Culleton (Director)

Working with CoisCéim is an absolute pleasure. It is an adventurous, exciting, and hugely rewarding experience. And, to top it all, they are lovely people!

Cathal Cusack (our first accountant)

Congratulations. I’ve no special stories to recall – what else would you expect from an accountant!
Aideen Gohery (Founding Member)

What an honour to have witnessed the conception and birth of CoisCéim and so proud to have been a member of the clan. (from Facebook)
Conleth Teevan (Publicist)

CoisCéim is the essence of Irish theatre and dance. The work the company produces excites, entertains and gives so much to the audience – here’s to another 25 years of CoisCéim!
Lina Andonovska (Guest Artist, International Dance Day, April 2020)

Best 1.5 hours since the beginning of March for me. The power of collective community art making is extraordinary!
Justine Cooper (Performer)

AGNES will stay with me as a touch stone of joy always… we should all have the opportunity of flying through the air on a swing like a starlet!
