A partnership project between CoisCéim BROADREACH and Dance Limerick.
Led by Philippa Donnellan.

HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU KID was a dance performance project for people aged 50+ which took place at Dance Limerick from March to May 2016. It was inspired by the magical world of film – by some of the most famous films, classic scenes and iconic film stars of all time.

‘This was one of the best experiences of my life and I have had many.’

HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU KID began in March with a drop-in taster dance workshop at Dance Limerick. Over 30 people attended from across Limerick City and beyond. From early April twice weekly drop-in classes took place with Philippa, offering everyone the opportunity to exercise, learn new moves and create their own dance phrases – and time to chat over a cup of tea. Inspired by such memorable films as The Pink Panther, Thelma and Louise, The Godfather, and Casablanca, the choreography created helped bring to life some of the magic, movement and mayhem of the silver screen. HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU KID culminated in a vibrant dance performance by twenty enthusiastic and committed participants for friends, family, and members of the public in the Dance Limerick Space (St John’s Church) on Sunday 15 May 2016.
