CoisCéim Broadreach and Dublin City Council present
Dance Across Dublin is a dance theatre performance presented by an ensemble cast of thirty dancers aged 50+. Following a series of dance classes, participants were invited to join a specially established dance ensemble working with a professional choreographer from CoisCéim Dance Theatre in the creation of an original contemporary dance theatre piece.
Dance Across Dublin draws inspiration from different Dublin communities and the way in which people identify with their own area. This lively dance theatre performance presented by the ensemble is set to some of the best dance music around from the great classics to the latest popular hits.
“People gather from across Dublin for The Dance. As they vie for space and attention weaving between each other in a rich and colourful choreography, a dark figure enters threatening to cut the event and tear everything to shreds”. Philippa Donnellan, CoisCéim Broadreach Director.
