COISCÉIM DANCE THEATRE is auditioning for two new projects in 2015.
Casting 4 Male/Female Dancers who are technically strong and creative with professional experience in Contemporary Dance and strong improvisational skills. Acting and singing experience are an advantage.
For a new children’s show directed and choreographed by Artistic Director David Bolger, we are also interested in hearing from contemporary dancers who have backgrounds in Street dance styles. For this production, performers must have experience as a professional dancer, a strong performance presence, and excellent creative skills with interest in creating original dance theatre for children.
In the second project we require very technically strong, creative dancers with an interest in movement research and practice. The dancers will be working with the creation of projection design based on body science and technology. This project directed and choreographed by David Bolger is the second phrase of research and development, which was started by the company in 2014. This upcoming research period will be concluded with several work-in-progress professional showings to the general public.
Project 1 | Premiere of a show for children and families | Rehearsals and performances:
Rehearsals: Monday 31 August – 3 October (Dublin)
Tech/Performances: Monday 5 October – 4 November (Ireland)
Project 2 | Research and work-in progress performances:
From mid-November to mid-December (Dublin)

The audition is by invitation only and will be held on the Saturday 13 June with callbacks on Sunday 14 June 2015 in Dublin.

- No more than two dance photos
- Links to dance videos if available
- A letter of motivation – in relation to why you want to be part of either project
